ReplyDeleteThere were strong erotic and misogynistic elements—as might be expected in a sexually repressed, male-dominated society with inquisitors drawn from the class of nominally celibate priests.
No difference today...
But I think demon-haunted people today have even less excuse than our medieval ancestors did.
