In a way I kinda feel sorry for the right. They just can't do funny. They try. Look at Dennis Miller. He thinks he's funny. He's not, of course and he's their best. It's no wonder they're angry all the time.
True believers, like Michelle Malkin, can (and do) use sarcasm ("the word comes from the Greek σαρκασμός (sarkasmos) which is taken from the word σαρκάζειν meaning 'to tear flesh, bite the lips in rage, sneer'.").
