You're right. I can't tell you how many times I have heard, "I hate Tom Corbett" when his name is mentioned in conversation. He has a long list of political/social crimes. If he gets reelected, I'm seriously considering moving to another state. I despise him.
I call him Tom "Follow the money trail" Corbett. I cannot stand him.
