Another Republican has been convicted of official corruption.

This time it is the former governor of Illinois, George Ryan.

He faces a possible 95 years in prison, but he will likely get a

reduced sentence since (1) he almost won a Nobel Peace Prize

for being the only Republican on the planet who opposes

the death penalty, and (2) Republicans don't live that long.
