I was just thinking about "I've Been Sick" the other day. How it means nothing to younger people and how that may be a good thing. With newer medicine people recover so much sooner now. I seem to remember it came from cartoons, is that right?

Yes, it's a line from a cartoon you've probably seen, one of Tex Avery's entitled 'Cross Country Detours'. In the cartoon, the character who utters the line is an alligator.
