I was treadmilling this morning when Lady Fearguth took this shot. We've had a smidgen of rain and it's a bit cooler, so I think the dragonfly was just loafing.

She posed for quite some time. Lucky shots, especially in view of the absence of a water feature in my garden

Either they cooperate or they don't. When they do generally they're good for several shots.

A couple weeks ago there were hundreds way up in far NW Colorado in Browns Park. They were huge and 98% blue. There was water but I see them all over the place where there is no water.

I see a dragonfly and it looks like it could be a good picture I'll try. A feller can't have enough dragonfly pictures.
