When it comes to LGBT equality, Pat
Buchanan says he is a 'Principled
Rejectionist', which, being interpreted,
means 'Old Bigot'.

I'm about as flaming a liberal as your likely to find in the state of Tx but I was once a republican. Pat Buchanan disabused me of that. I can't remember if it was '88 or '92 but his convention speech made me realize I was in the wrong tent.

I'm much better now.

I was 21 when I became eligible to vote. I voted for Goldwater in 1964, Nixon in 1968 and 1972, and Ford in 1976. I first voted for a Democrat in 1980. I was active in party politics for a short time in 1972, and that was all it took for me to learn to keep as far away from political parties as possible.
