I used to keep box turtles for a season in the summers and learned a lot about them. I really like them. Now I find I can't look at them like I used to. It is unfair to a really cool reptile that a human of this stripe can resemble one so closely. At least they never made much noise (I wish he would confine himself to the occasional irritated hiss like they do)
