I think that RWNJs prefer Zombie Ideas because they don't have to work on them. Everybody knows so they can simply phone it in.

Whitewater was a perfect example of Zombie Ideas. I remember coming across a thick tome at Half-Price Books that was nothing but reprints of articles which had appeared just in the Wall Street Journal about Whitewater. Holy cow!
