Latest total as of this morning (11/16) shows Clinton at 62.3 million vs 61.2 million for Trump, or a difference of about 1.1 million. That doesn't destroy the narrative here; just makes it a bit closer.
I'll correct my statement before someone else does. The 69 million is voting against, meaning they are adding the Clinton and all the 3rd party votes. My numbers above were a straight Clinton-Trump comparison. Both sets of numbers indicate very high numbers of self-destructive jackasses in this country.
Instead of 'voted against Trump', make it 'didn't vote for Trump'. There is some comfort in the fact that a significant plurality of my fellow Americans didn't vote for Trump.
