Representative Allen West (R-FL) wants to abolish the IRS,
eliminate the income tax, cut Social Security, Medicare,
and unemployment benefits.  In addition to the things he's
against, West is for tax cuts for billionaires (so that they will
have money to donate to charities) and a $21 million govern-
ment grant to build a runway at an airport in his district
(which is not pork, he says, since it will create jobs).
Congressman West is not insane, by the way, even
though he looks and sounds like it.

Thursday, December 09, 2010

Too late, they realized the earmark had been used to build
the Railroad Bridge to Nowhere.
GOP Gets Queasy Over Earmark Ban, Decides
to Redefine the Term So That It Applies Only
to Democrats and to Call Republican Pork
 'The Other White Meat'

"The 52 members of the Congressional Tea Party
Caucus, which pledges to cut spending and reduce
the size of government, requested a total of 764
earmarks valued at $1,049,783,150 during Fiscal
Year 2010. Rep. Denny Rehberg (R-MT) took
the prize as the Tea Partier with his name on the
most earmarks, a total of 88 worth $100,514,200."
Ah, hypocrisy, thy name is Teabagger!

No sooner had "Sooee, here piggy, piggy, piggy!" left Mitch
McConnell's lips before Senator Kyl came a runnin'.

Wednesday, March 17, 2010

This little Inhofe piggy went to market,
This little Cochran piggy stayed home,
This little McConnell piggy had roast beef,
This little Inouye piggy had none.
And this little Bond piggy went ...
"Wee wee wee" all the way home.

Saint Kyl of the Perpetual Earmark

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

"Earmarks are bad, unless, that is, they're mine.
Then they're good. That's my principle, and I
stand by my principles!"

'Lardon' (rhymes with 'hard-on') is a strip of stiffened
pork inserted into a piece of tough meat to make it more
tender, easier to chew, and less difficult to swallow. That's
what the Senate leadership used to get the financial rescue
package passed 74-25.

Palin Poutraged That Governor of Missouri
Dubbed Her Alaska's 'Earmark Queen'

Saturday, September 13, 2008

On Friday, while Sarah Palin was defending the $200 million
in earmarks she had requested in 2008 as Governor of Alaska,
John McCain was denying that she had ever requested any.
That's pretty funny, isn't it, Senator?

Thursday, September 11, 2008

"Did you say this earmark is called 'The Thrilla from Wasilla'?"
"Yes, Senator."
"My, my, my, that's a lot of pork! What do you think they fed
it to make it so huge?"
"Hogwash, Senator, nothing but hogwash."

This earmark from Wasilla says she is really enjoying
the Republican National Convention, even though
it has thrown her completely off her diet.

Earmarks into Alaska

"I will use the veto as needed. I will veto every
single beer, er, ear, er, bill with beermarks, er, ear
with billmarks, er, bill with earmarks.
Dang it, Cindy! I need another boilermaker!"
