HE already knows it--but what is he supposed to do with them blocking EVERYTHING!?

He could try using the "bully pulpit" to spread the word instead of working with them to share our sacrifice.

Lest we forget, George H. W. Bush's approval rating in early March, 1991, was 89%. In November, 1992, he got only 38% of the popular vote. That's what made 'It's the Economy, Stupid'--and James Carville--famous.

At the beginning of August, 1991, George H. W. Bush's approval rating stood at 70%. At the beginning of August, 2011, Barack Obama's approval rating stands at 40%.
