I collapsed in mirth at his argument that we shouldn't be borrowing money from China to pay Peace Corps volunteers to teach the Chinese to speak English. I'm sure of course the good Congressman isn't opposed to borrowing money from China to kill Yemenis, Somalians, Afghanis, Pakistanis, Iraqis, etc.

The stupidity of the comment's under the thread on the whore Post is a direct reflection of the intelligence of our populace. Teaching is the primary function of the Peace Corps and it has never been anything but that.

I do have a bit of credibility concerning this but not to those simpletons.

The only way to be totally unbiased about the Peace Corps is (1) to have never been in it and (2) to have never known anyone who was in it. That disqualifies both you and me as unbiased.
