And, with luck, he'll be an also-ran.
If he doesn't belong after all these years, it is definitely time to throw his ass out. And the rest of him, too.
Ryan is the typical Republican, i. e., someone who doesn't understand the difference between politics and government.
"I never thought of government as something I belong to."
In one simple declarative sentence, Ryan's distilled the very essence of what's gone horribly wrong with the Republican party.
And he's proud of it.
Like Cheney, Ryan is more in the vein of 'the government belongs to me'.
