Are Lexicographers Eligible for Combat Pay?

'Woke' is the simple past tense of 'wake'.  In 2017, 'woke' was

added to the Oxford English Dictionary as an adjective, meaning

'an active awareness of systemic injustices and prejudices, 

especially those related to civil and human rights'.  In 

other words, if you're 'woke', you're not a Trumpnik.

The only thing more bottomless is a 'bottomless cup of

coffee' as defined in the Urban Dictionary.

Samuel Johnson defined 'patriotism' as 

'the last resort of the scoundrel'.  Ambrose

Bierce disagreed, saying, "I beg to submit 

it is the first."
